Its actually a masked kitsune that I began drawing back in 2008, but seemingly other artists on DA have been catching on. I've been seeing very similar designs crop up in the kitsune tag for almost a year now.

well `yuumei made a sculpture of it [link] without crediting... i've looked at the comments and it seems i'm not the only one who recognizes the design... it's sad when big artists don't credit like this
but then again this is not the first time she's done it (i've seen 2 more drawings by her that looked strikingly similar to older deviations made by other artists)
it possible of course she saw your design and forgot...
it's an awesome design by the way! it makes you wanna draw it *u*

Ah I recall seeing that sculpture and loved it :) I didn't feel like she pulled from my kitsunes at all really. White-masked creatures have popped up in pop-culture (such as No-Face from Spirited Away; people have compared my work to his design, etc.) and the masked kitsune from Okami, which seems to have influenced some artists to mask their OC kitsunes with traditional masks.

I'm more or less referring to those who use this, or similar design specifically for kitsunes, mainly because the mask does not particularly reference traditional kit masks, and for the fact that my kits don't look particularly fox-like :)

Nothing is truly original, I understand, but I begin to question if I've had influence on other artists for their kitsune designs when I've seen renditions being made after I received a few D&Ds of work depicting them ^^; Anyway, thank you!
